Informed by broad research that encompasses critical theory, composition, literature, and historical sources, WALES BONNER explores a distinctive notion of luxury via a hybrid of European and African approaches. Grace Wales Bonner graduated from Central St. Martins in 2014. The following year Wales Bonner was awarded Emerging Menswear Designer’ at the British Fashion Awards, and shortly after that in 2016 she received the LVMH Young Designer Prize. Obtaining wide recognition, Wales Bonner has presented at the Serpentine Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum, whilst also lecturing at Parsons in New York. Wales Bonner international stockists include Dover Street Market, Selfridges, 10 Corso Como, and Joyce.

June
Grace Wales Bonner graduates from Central Saint Martins and her graduate collection AFRIQUE is awarded the L'Oréal Professional Talent Award.

2015

January
Wales Bonner presents it's first collection EBONICS as part of Fashion East during London Collections Men.
April
Grace Wales Bonner becomes the youngest designer to showcase her work at the Victoria & Albert Museum, participating in their 'Fashion in Motion Series'.
June
Malik, the Spring Summer 2016 collection is presented at the ICA London. Grace Wales Bonner travels to Senegal to shoot campaign with Harley Weir.
October
Invited by Hans-Ulrich Obrist to participate in the Serpentine’s ‘Transformation Marathon’ at Frieze Art Fair in London.
November
Awarded Emerging Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.

2016

April
Grace Wales Bonner lectures at Parsons New School of Design in New York City.
June
First solo show EZEKIEL received with critical acclaim. Winner of the 2016 LVMH Prize.
August
Wales Bonner travels to Tambacounda, Senegal, as part of a residency at Josef Alber Foundation to collaborate with local artisans and designers.
October
Awarded Breakthrough Designer at Harpers Bazaar Women of the Year 2016.
November
Nominated for British Menswear Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.

2017

January
Presents Autumn Winter 17 collection, entitled 'SPIRITUALS II'.
May
Grace Wales Bonner releases collaborative zine with musician Sampha entitled Shy Light.
June
Presents Spring Summer 2018 collection BLUE DUETS during London Collections Men. Wales Bonner screens short film, 'Practice' by Harley Weir at ICA London.
September
Awarded Breakthrough Designer of the Year at the 2017 GQ Awards.
November
Nominated for British Menswear Designer of the Year at The Fashion Awards.

2018

January
Presents Autumn Winter 18 collection, DES HOMME ET DES DIEUX and release of first womenswear lookbook. Releases film ‘Finding Saint’ by Jordan Hemingway.
February
Launch of BLUE DUETS at Totokaelo in New York as part of 180 Bowery Residency with installation by artist Eric N. Mack and performance by serpentwithfeet. Grace Wales Bonner begins to tutor at Central Saint Martins for Fashion Design with Marketing.
June
Presents Spring Summer 19 collection, entitled ECSTATIC RECITAL.
September
Awarded 2018 British Land London Emerging Medal.  
October
Launch of DES HOMME ET DES DIEUX at Matches 5 Carlos Place with installation by artist Eric N. Mack and performance by Moses Boyd with choreography by Micheal-John Harper.
